Climate Change is Global, the Impact is Local

Scott Perry

Representative Scott Perry, (R-PA, 4th District) has been in office since 2013, he was re-elected to Congress during the 2018 midterms to what is now the tenth district, which includes Harrisburg, York and most of the surrounding suburbs.

When asked about Climate Change, Perry responded by saying, “I do believe global warming is occurring… However, I do take exception, whether it’s man-made or not.”

Perry ignores the scientific consensus on the causes of climate change, including an article published by NASA where multiple sources are cited to show that it is projected more than 97% of climate change is caused by human activity.

Perry also votes against effective environmental protection. He voted no on an Amendment to require the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to review and develop effluent standards, pretreatment standards, and water quality criteria for PFAS under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act.
