Climate Change is Global, the Impact is Local

Craig Rucker

Craig Rucker co-founded the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) with David Rothbard in 1985. He has served as the group’s executive director since its founding. He also helped build the student branch of CFACT, Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow.

On Climate Change

In 2013, in response to proposed United Nations’ action on climate change, Rucker wrote an article saying that “CFACT is committed to educating the public and exposing global warming for what it truly is- a massive redistribution scheme. This scheme is not designed to strengthen the U.S. economy, but to throttle it down.”

In 2018, Rucker dressed up as Al Gore and led a march in San Francisco in response to the Global Climate Action Summit occurring at the same time. Other people marching with him were dressed as zombies and had nametags reading “United Nations,” “Media,” “Hollywood,” etc. They then broke into the conference and chanted different “climate myths.” As part of this protest, Rucker said, “Climate models have never been right, but that doesn’t matter.”

Rucker also publishes articles on the CFACT website. Some articles include “Donald Trump: America’s Greenest President,” “Electric vehicle subsidies and other fantasies,” and “Corporate leaders cozy up to costly Biden climate agenda.”
